27th April: Celebrating the Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festival at Thalawathugoda Junction with the sponsorship of the United Trade Union of Thalawathugoda.
     
07th May: Started our main Drama Therapy Workshop which is continuing every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 09.30 am to 03.30 pm at our main auditorium.  
     
10th May: Started the Communication and Theatre Art Workshop which is continuing every Saturday and Sunday from 09.00 am to 04.00 pm
at our main auditorium.
     
27th May: Special public performance at Sama Viharaya in the sacred city of Anuradhapura during two day pilgrimage visit with 35 students and 25 parents on 26th and 27th May, jointly organized by the “Dayaka Sabava” of Sama Viharaya and our parents.  
     
25th June: Conducted an Art Therapy Workshop for parents by Rohana Deva from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm at our main auditorium.
     
19th July: A lecture delivered by Rohana Deva on the topic of Effective Communication with people who are disabled For more than 800 Special Education teachers at the Corporative Auditorium, Matara.
The seminar was organized by the project “Eagle Samana”.
     
26th July: A lecture delivered by Rohana Deva on the topic of Effective communication with people who are disabled for more than 1200 Special Education teachers at the St. Anthony’s College, Kandy.
We were fortunate to have one of our creations at the seminar-cum- performance by Thilina Siriwardana.
This was organized by the project “Eagle Samana”.
 
     
28th July: Mr. Rohana Deva took part at “DORAMADALAWA” a famous TV Programme along with one of our Dance items performed by Thilina Siriwardana.  
     
1st August: A traditional dance troupe from Dabana performed “Sokari” at our auditorium to enhance the knowledge of folk theatre of our students. The event has organized by Mr. Ananda Siriwardana.
     
8th August: Conducted a very special workshop with 30 students from Thidora as resource persons to enhance the knowledge of 60 Montessori teachers at Nippon Temple, Etulkotte. It was organized by the Institute of Development of Positive Psychology.
     
13th & 14th August: The Panel of the Curriculum Development for education of autistic children of the Inclusive Education Department of the National Institute of Education were trained with our students for their experiments.  
     
18th August: We have signed a MOU worth Rs. 500000.00 with CEPA to implement a project to develop traditional puppetry in Sri Lanka.
     
22nd August: Rev. Nisso R. Fukuoka-Head master of HBS Buddhist School of Kobe, Japan delivered a lecture for our parents at our auditorium.
 
     
7th September Creative Directress of THIDORA with 20 of our workshop demonstrators conducted a full day workshop of Movement and Music Therapy for 80
s of Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim teachers who ware undergoing the Diploma Course of Special Education at the Department of Integrated Education of the National Institute of Education – Sri Lanka.
     
1st October 46 of our children enjoyed the day with thousands of other children at the ‘Vihara Maha Devi Park’ – Colombo 07, celebrating the World Children Day. The event was organized by the Lions Club of Colombo and the Derana TV channel. Our team was sponsored by the Jayasinghe Printers- Wickremasinghapura. 25th/26th October and 8th/9th November We have conducted a special Workshop at National Institute of Education [N.I.E.] - Maharagama, for the instructors of Special Education from all educational zones in the island to introduce the implementation of the curriculum of the Teaching- Learning Activities for Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder which was drafted by N.I.E. with the practical knowledge of THIDORA Theatre.
     
28th November Our dancing troupe of the children with special needs performed two dancing items at ‘Pradeepa Hall’-Colombo 10, as to remark the world disable day festival on 3rd December organized by the Colombo District Secretary Office of the Government. Our team was sponsored by the regional secretary office of Kaduwela.
     
19th December 1st batch of Trainees of Trainers programme of the Communication and Theatre Arts Workshop has passed out after they successfully completed the course and performed ‘The Caucasian Chalk Cercal’ at Punchi Theatre- Colombo 08.
