S.Dammulla is the Consultant of the Press Complaints Commission of Sri Lanka. Former
regulator of the Sri Lanka Press Council, the state controlled media watchdog. He
was the first permanent senior executive appointed to the Press Council when it
was set up in 1973 by a law in Parliament. Functioned as the Press Commissioner
till appointed as the Registrar of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka
and subsequently as Director of the National Transport Commission. |
| He possesses a B.Phil (Hons-first class) in Modern Ceylon History and also a BA
(Special) in Western History from the University of Colombo and a Post Graduate
Diploma in Journalism from the Film, Radio and Television Institute of the Murdoch
University of Australia.
